Parents of Winter Guard members,

We will be ordering the Winter Guard T-shirts this week sometime.  We are just checking to make sure everyone who wanted a T-shirt ordered one.  The shirts are going to be either Heather Grey or Red (still trying to decide).  The cost is $12 for S-XL, $13 for XXL and $14 for XXXL.  If you didn't order one, please send me an email with name and size by Thursday, February 2, 2012.  You will need to send a check made out to BBOB with your daughter to practice on Thursday or Friday evening and give to Mrs. Divelbiss.  If you are unsure if you ordered yourself a T-shirt, please contact Dena Divelbiss as she has all the information.  He email is  drdivel1@aol.com.

Additionally, we are requesting each family to donate 1 case of water (can be small bottles or larger) and some type of granola's or snack cakes.  There are 19 girls plus coaches, chaperones and floor crew.  If you could send a minimum of 20 items, (granola bars, snack cakes, fruit snacks, etc), we will use these for contest days.  Our first contest is this weekend at Mustang.  Please start bringing these items on Thursday to practice.  Dena and I will be there at the beginning of practice to gather them.

Also, at contests, they normally have different tables set up for items to purchase.  I have seen them sell "Air Grams" and flowers, etc.  Air Grams (I think that is what they are called) are notes of encouragement read as your guard is taking the floor.  I can't remember but I think they may be $1.  They can be made out for your daughter or for the entire guard- whatever you choose to do.  I have done both.

It might be fun to come up with some special things to do for our guard at each contest or at state championships.  Would someone like to be the coordinator of that?  We also, bought brown flip-flops and wrapped them in sparkly yarn to match their costumes.  Last year for state championships, we took the guard to eat and gave them special gifts (picture frame and a winter guard charm).  There is always a lot of fun things to do for them to show our support as parents.  Anyone or a group of moms want to take this on?  Please…...

One other thing, if you haven't heard, the BBOB purchased the guard an new floor to perform on as well as new sabres, flag poles and rifles.  It has been like Christmas this last week with all the new equipment coming in.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

Thanks and looking forward to a GREAT and FUN season!
